Privacy Collection Statement
Whitehorse City Council (Council) collects, holds, and manages personal information under two acts. These are the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic) (“PDP Act”) and the Health Records Act (Vic) 2001 (“HR Act”).
Council and Bang the Table together provide you with access to the EngagementHQ platform.
EngagementHQ is Council’s chosen community consultation engagement tool.
Your Say Whitehorse is the branding of this platform.
Your Say Whitehorse establishes community consultations on various topics of interest. This may be via forum posts or survey or poll responses.
Information collected enables Council to communicate future information on chosen topics.
Participation in these consultations requires you to register an account on the platform.
Registration requires a username, email address and password. You can remain anonymous or use a pseudonym to participate in online surveys or polls.
You can unsubscribe at any time. To deliver future communications, Council utilises Mailchimp as an email distribution tool. Please see Mailchimp collection statement.
Bang the Table staff may access your email address details. This will only be to the extent necessary to provide services to you and to exclude you from future sign-up alerts. Council and its authorised officers will access the information submitted via the platform. This will enable the delivery of relevant Council services.
Besides your registration details you can elect to provide further information. Optional question fields may ask for your comments and ideas, or sensitive information. Council will include and align this information collected with service design and planning. This extra information will enable Council to develop policies and plan future strategies. The information is only for Council Officers, Council’s authorised contractors and consultants.
Council will not otherwise use or disclose your personal information unless it is required or authorised by law to do so.

A cloud service is necessary to assist with the storage of information. Bang the Table uses a data centre provider located in NSW.
You can access and/or correct your personal information on your account and held by Council.
